One of the best lakes for rainbow trout fishing in our area is in our front yard. Guests can rent a boat or canoe and explore the lake. The fish average 15-20 inches long and weigh 1-3 lbs. If you want to see the big one that was 6 lbs, it's mounted and on display in a Kenai restaurant. We use spinners and troll or, if we want the quiet, just cast. We use rooster tails, f.s.t.'s, dare devils, meps #1, silver & red or yellow lures. The color varies from time to time. Jim said to just bring an assortment of meps spinners. K-Mart in Kenai that fishing tackle. Some guests have brought and do well with fly rods.

Boats & canoes are reserved by the morning, afternoon or evening. Rent is $5 for rowboats, canoes and paddleboats or $20 for a motorboat.
