Wildlife on Kenai Peninsula Alaska
Wildlife is abundant including many moose. Loons, beaver and various migrating waterfowl swim around our dock. Eagles, owls, hawks, mink and lynx are seen spying on our pet ducks who beg for food. Sometimes our pets get their pictures taken more than the wildlife. We keep our property cleaned up from things that attract bears so we're safe here. Sockeye (red) salmon spawn along the shore in front of our place during the late summer. See our Facebook page for videos. You can paddle a canoe or rowboat around with them. You can also walk or drive to the mouth of the creek that is fed by Daniels Lake and watch salmon coming into the lake. At the peak, there are hundreds of fish swimming along the lake shore.
